How do I install my downloaded site?
It is quite simple. All you have to do is unpack the files and upload them to the server. It is important that you upload the files to your root folder. If you upload it to the subfolder, that will most likely cause the site working improperly. if you need the site to be loaded into a sub folder eg:(www.yoursite.com/downloaded_site_here), Please let us know in advance so we can program it to be just so for you. As soon as you finish the upload and extract and reload the website in your browser, your website will be up and running. Any issues just email us
Why is the layout broken and images missing?
Opening HTML files directly from your hard drive will usually cause the errors in layout, missing images and other files, as well as some other irregularities. The reason for this is that our software uses absolute paths to all CSS files, images, and all other files. We designed our software to work that way so we could provide maximum compatibility across the websites with different structure. You need to upload all files to your server, and only then, everything will work and display properly.
Before checking anything else, please make sure that you have uploaded the files to the root folder( or custom folder that you specified in the order). If you did upload the files correctly to the folder, than just as with the missing images, please check the version of your website displayed on the Wayback Machine. If you notice the same layout issues there as well, that definitely means the web archive’s Wayback Time Machine had not stored all the important files (CSS files for instance), so our software simply downloaded what was available there. Note that the Wayback Machine stores many different versions of your website. Therefore, the files that are missing in one version might be available at some other stored version of the site. Therefore, it is very important for you to identify the most correct version of your website available on the Wayback Machine before placing your order.
Why are images on showing on my site?
Please check if the missing images are displaying properly on the website’s version available on the Wayback Machine. If same images are missing there as well, that means WaybackMachine had not been able to identify those images, therefore our software could not possibly download them. Same thing may happen with certain Flash files or some other file types. In case the file (e.g. image, flash animation, and so on) is displaying normally on the version of your website shown at the Wayback Machine, but missing from your uploaded website, please contact us and we’ll get it corrected.
